The tower is a remarkable increase from the same developer’s initial plans to add two hundred rental apartments to the historic property at the corner of Market Street and Duboce Avenue. Preliminary permits have been filed for a 28-story tower at 262 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The mixed-use project would bring over five hundred apartments across from San Jose City Hall. The planning application does not identify the developer.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote later today to provide a $115.8 million construction loan for affordable housing at Transbay Block 2 East. The proposal is expected to rise 17 stories tall and bring 184 below-market-rate rental apartments to 200 Folsom Street in the heart of the densely-developed Transbay neighborhood. Mercy Housing is the project sponsor.

Construction financing of $30 million has been secured to advance an affordable housing project at 820 West MacArthur Boulevard in the Longfellow neighborhood of Oakland, Alameda County.
