The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit Board of Directors recently reviewed the latest plans for the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station. The public presentation includes a tentative phasing schedule, which says construction on the several-hundred-unit masterplan could start as early as next year. The transit agency is working with Related California and Holliday Development.
Bay Area Rapid Transit has announced that construction is scheduled to start this summer on the Lake Merritt BART Station redevelopment in Downtown Oakland. Crews will start by replacing a surface parking lot with a seven-story affordable housing project and a landscaped paseo. Oakland Planning Commission is scheduled to review the updated phasing for the project tomorrow afternoon.

The proposal will bring nearly a hundred units to a portion of an undeveloped lot. Oakland-based East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation is the project sponsor.

The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building offering affordable housing units. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates (SAHA) is the project developer working in partnership with Native American Health Center (NAHC). Pyatok Architects is responsible for the designs. Cliff Lowe Associates is the landscape architect.
New plans have been published for a five-story affordable housing proposal at 2400 Winchester Boulevard in Campbell, Santa Clara County. The proposal will bring 90 new apartments on VTA-owned land at the Winchester Light Rail Station. Related California and PATH Ventures are jointly sponsoring the development.
