Construction work has started for the life sciences project at 777 Industrial Road in San Carlos, San Mateo County. The project will add new space to the peninsula’s ever-growing inventory of R&D offices, one of the largest inventories in the country. Presidio Bay Ventures is responsible for the development.
Recently, a dewatering project broke ground at San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility at 4245 Zanker Road, San José. The project enhances the city’s sustainability. The Dewatering Facility is part of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) with $1.4 billion over 10 years of improvements to the San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility. The CIP aims to modernize and rebuild the infrastructure that has served the community uninterrupted for over 65 years. Walsh Construction is responsible for the design concepts.alsh
Duke Realty has filed a pre-application for the redevelopment of the AB&I Foundry Site in Oakland’s Coliseum Industrial neighborhood. The plans would demolish the iron foundry, which started in 1906, to build a speculative LEED Silver industrial building with offices, a loading dock, and parking. McWane Inc is the property owner backing this application.
Since our last update in June of 2021, crews have made significant progress toward realizing The Fitzgerald, a mixed-use residential project at 2750 19th Street in the Mission District, San Francisco. Once complete, Fitzgerald will have 63 apartments above light industrial office space. Align Real Estate is responsible for the project.
Prologis is sponsoring plans to build a new industrial center at 749 Toland Street and 2000 McKinnon Avenue, located in Bayview, San Francisco. Dubbed the San Francisco Gateway, the two-structure development will loom over I-280, an important artery for drivers moving between Downtown San Francisco and the Peninsula. Jackson Liles Architecture is responsible for the design.
