The scope of work consists of Planned Development Rezoning, Planned Development Permit, and a Tentative Map to allow the redevelopment of the project site. The project site spans an area of 2.59 acres. The project requires the demolition of existing residence on the site and the reconfiguration of the parcel to be subdivided into four lots. Plans call for the construction of new single-family residences on each lot.

The residences would range from approximately 5,045 to 6,210 square feet in living area, and be two-stories tall, with a maximum building height of approximately 34 feet. All four residences would each have a private garage ranging from approximately 665 to 925 square feet that would be accessible via the existing private gated driveway connected to Ambum Avenue.

Construction of the project is estimated to take approximately 14 months to complete. The site is located in an urbanized part of east San José, bound by residences on all sides, and is connected to Ambum Avenue via a private, gated driveway.

  1. Should be a skyscraper

  2. Each house will be five to six thousand square feet!?! Wow these are massive houses in a normal middle-class area. At first I thought “Bravo” they’re finally building some dense development in suburban San Jose, but looking at Google maps the property is huge. It could easily support 8 freestanding single-family houses with lawns and backyards, and an inventive architect could probably fit 16 units in there in a mix of types that would still look charming.
