Development permits were submitted seeking the approval of a new sales center at 1500 17th Street in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. The project proposal includes constructing a sales center for new construction at 88 Arkansas street project along with new interior  non-structural tenant improvements like interior partitions and finishes on the ground floor of the existing four-story building

BAR Architects is managing the design concept and construction of the project.

The project is targeted to achieve LEED Platinum certification. The new five-story, mixed-use project will provide 127 dwelling units – 20% of which will be below market rate, and neighborhood-serving retail. Residential amenities include a fitness center, bike room, outdoor courtyard, roof garden and dog area on the roof. The parking garage includes standard spaces as well as car stackers.

The area of the lot is 22,000 square feet. The construction is similar to the neighboring 88 Arkansas building. The construction site is located in the Potrero Hill, and 88 Arkansas is a mixed-use community that will enhance and reflect the neighborhood of low-rise commercial, light industrial and residential buildings.

The architectural elements are carefully chosen to achieve a contemporary design that limited the number of architectural material to meld international style rigor with the industrial character of the neighborhood. The building facade is composed of channel glass, sliding glass, cortex steel and concrete. The property also offers indoor-outdoor living spaces and views that connect residents to the neighborhood park.

The estimated date of project completion has not been announced yet.
