A preliminary project assessment (PPA) has been submitted seeking the approval of a project at 1675 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the renovation of existing retail stores and establishing a new commercial facility on the site. The proposal includes two sites with the primary on Howard Street and the secondary on Harrison Street.
Goree Architecture & Design is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The project site consists of two parcels spanning 188,052 square feet on Howard Street and 58,040 square feet on Harrison Street. Plans call for the renovation of portions of an existing Mini Cooper and BMW car dealership and establishing new vehicular repair and service facilities. Parking stackers will be installed on existing surface parking lots.
Howard Street contains the vehicular showroom, car repair facilities, customer parking, and car inventory parking. Harrison Street has car repair facilities, staff parking, and car inventory parking.
Construction will occur in two phases, increasing from 826 to 917 parking spaces. The property will contain 60,640 square feet of automotive repair space. Space for retail use will be decreased to 30,740 square feet.
