Five-story condominiums have been proposed at 282 East Middlefield Road, East Whisman, Mountain View. The project proposal includes the development of high-density residences on a vacant lot, adding to the growing number of housing projects.
The DeNardi Group is the project developer.
The project will bring 91 for-sale condos on a site parcel that spans an area of one acre. With building heights over 62 feet, the project will stand tall above the neighboring single-family homes. The proposal includes 14 condos that will be sold at below-market rates. It will also have 101 parking spaces.
What sets the latest condo development apart is that it won’t be located in the highest-density core of East Whisman but on the western fringe of East Whisman in an area that has been dubbed the “village center.” Focused on retail for the future East Whisman neighborhood, the village center allows for between 50 and 200 homes, which the DeNardi project will fill.
The project is under review, and a public hearing is scheduled for October 20.
