Plans to develop a new office project have made progress in East Palo Alto. The project proposal includes the construction of a six-story office building, replacing an existing parking lot on the site. Project construction will include removal of the existing parking lot, landscaping, and excavation.
Seven Bridges Properties is the project applicant. is responsible for the design concepts.
The property site is a parcel spanning an area of 11.84 acres. The project proposes to redevelop the existing parking lot with a six-story office building yielding a total built-up area of 180,000 square feet. Three level of below-grade parking will be developed on the site. Vehicular site access would continue to be provided via University Circle and Manhattan Avenue upon project completion.
The project will be built to the California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen) and designed to achieve the equivalent of LEED Platinum certification to minimize wasteful energy consumption. The project will connect to existing utilities lines (e.g., water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain lines) on Woodland Avenue and Manhattan Avenue and will incorporate storm-water detention measures to store and control project peak flow rates.
Construction will take approximately 36 months to complete.
