An environment impact report has been filed for a project proposed at 640-800 Cesar Chavez Street in Central Waterfront, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the redevelopment of the properties on the site into an electric vehicle service center and charging facility.
Cruise, a San Francisco-based company is behind the initiative.
Named Cesar Chavez Service Center and Charging Facility, the project redevelopment also include upgrading buildings, sidewalk frontage, and landscapes for the betterment of the neighborhood. The project lays emphasis on accessibility and pedestrian and bike safety.
Cruise plans to upgrade the buildings on the property, install EV charging stations in support of our zero-emission, self-driving vehicle fleet, and significantly upgrade the Cesar Chavez street frontage with new plants and lighting, and an ADA-compliant sidewalk where no sidewalk currently exists today.
The project intends a phased approach to construction over the period of approximately two years.
