Demolition permits have been issued for the site at 10550 International Boulevard in Oakland, paving the way for a proposed affordable housing project to move forward. The project proposal includes the Phase 3 construction of a new residential building offering market rate and affordable housing units.
AMG & Associates is the project applicant and property owner.
The scope of work includes the development of Phase 3, which will bring a five-story, 140-unit building. Out of the total 34 units will be available as affordable units upon completion. Apartment sizes will vary with one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. One unit will be reserved for an on-site residential manager.
Residential amenities include a fitness center, two courtyards, and a flexible-use space. The open space will have a playground, barbecues, and outdoor seating furniture. All five levels will offer a laundry room
As reported by John Smith (@aglev33)/X, Phase 1, consisting of 324 fully affordable units (pictured left), has been completed. Phase 2, comprising 69 fully affordable units (pictured right), has received planning approval but has yet to apply for building permits.
The 1.07-acre parcel is located along International Boulevard between 105th and 106th Avenue. The project will rise next to the Oakland Station Senior Apartments at 1428 105th Avenue.
