Development permits have been submitted seeking the approval of a new mixed-use project proposed for development at 230 South El Camino Real in San Mateo. The project proposal includes the construction of a new five-story mixed-use complex offering spaces for residential and retail uses.
Habitat 8 is listed as the project applicant. Arc Tec Inc is responsible for the designs.

The project site spans an area of 11,454 square feet. The scope of work includes the redevelopment of an existing vacant lot with a five-story mixed-use building consisting of commercial and residential uses. The new mixed-use complex will yield a total built-up area of 34,150 square feet. The proposed building will bring 28 residential units including 4 below-market-rate (BMR) units for moderate income households, along with 1,572 square feet of commercial space at the ground level. Additionally, 16 parking stalls at the ground level will also be developed as a part of the project.

An SB330 preliminary application has been submitted for review. Pending approval, the estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
The project site is located on the corner of North El Camino Real and W 3rd Avenue.
