A new application has been filed by Dollinger Properties for a proposed development located at 1601 S De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino. The project would require the demolition of an existing office facility to be replaced by a large-scale townhome development on the 6.35-acre site. The applicant is using the State Density Bonus Law to waive several items and expedite the project.

The new development would include 105 townhomes, breaking down into approximately 16.5 units per acre. Designs for the proposed townhomes have not been released, but the application does specify a three-story layout.

The building’s property location is along a major vehicle corridor in Cupertino, but it has limited walkability and long-distance public transportation access. Despite this, the project hopes to reduce he required number of vehicle parking spaces by leveraging the State Density Bonus Law.
