Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new mixed-use project proposed at 3406 El Camino Real in Santa Clara. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story mixed-use building offering residential and retail spaces along with onsite parking and amenities. The project site was previously developed with a 21,600 square foot shopping center that was damaged by a fire in 2016.
De Anza Properties is the property owner. Dahlin Group is responsible for the design concepts. Guzzardo Partnership is the landscape architect.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 2.27 acres. Named The Deck, the project proposes to bring 66 residential units into a four-story mixed-use building. The complex will feature retail space spanning an area of 9,330 square feet.
The mixed-use project will feature basement with storage, ground-level parking, retail suites, and second floor parking. Exercise room and pool deck will be designed on top of the second level garage.
The project has pending approvals for design changes to grading & drainage plan, utility plan, stormwater management plan, flow-combo cals, and structural drawing changes. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
The project site is on the south side of El Camino Real between Flora Vista Boulevard and Nobili Avenue. Commercial land uses are located to the north, east and west of the site and immediately to the south of the property are multi-family residential uses.
