Preliminary permits have been filed for housing at 3614 Mont Diablo Boulevard in Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The initial filing is looking to replace a Walgreens pharmacy with several dozen condominiums across from the city’s BART Station. Maska Investment is listed as the project developer.
The initial filing states that construction would add 58 condominium units in a complex dubbed the Avery Bays. Further information about the size and scale of the project has not been included.

Aaron Chang of Avery Bays Real Estate Development is listed as the property owner. Avery Bays is the current owner of 555 Fulton Street, having purchased the site from the embattled Z & L Properties developer in mid-2023.
The 0.86-acre lot is located along Mount Diablo Boulevard between Happy Valley Road and Dewing Avenue, on the same block as the Lafayette BART Station. Demolition will be required for the existing single-story commercial building.
The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be shared.
