New files were submitted updating an approved residential project located at 1511 Del Paso Boulevard in Sacramento. The updates are considered minor, and Vertical Pacific Development Company is still committed to approximately the same scope of the project.
The new plans will include a three-story residential infill. The development, dubbed the CLTRE House, plans to add 53 apartments to the burnt-down commercial lot. This is a single-unit reduction from the originally approved plans.
Salazar Architects is responsible for the design. Illustrations show a square façade wrapped in plain stucco and colored panel accents. Facade materials will include fiber cement, stucco, and perforated metal shading.
For the interiors, the loft-style apartments will span two levels, with a living area, kitchen, and spiral staircase below the elevated sleeping area.
The half-acre property is located at the corner of Del Paso Boulevard and Grove Avenue. The site is along the southern end of the Del Paso commercial thoroughfare. The building will provide parking for 14 cars and 34 bicycles to support tenant transportation needs.

Looks like a great urban infill project, I hope it actually gets built.
As MLK, Jr. once said, “build, baby, build!”
