New building permits have been submitted for a residential building at 1473 Underwood Avenue in Bayview, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of a three-unit residential structure with an Additional Dwelling Unit, i.e. ADU. RS Structural Engineering is managing the design concept and construction.

The project site is a vacant lot that will contain a forty-foot-high residential building. The existing remodeled storage shed is proposed to be converted into a 289 square foot studio ADU. The estimated cost of construction is $1.2 million. The date of project completion has not yet been established.
The project site is located in a walk and bike-friendly residential neighborhood located near South Basin. The property is near various grocery stores and restaurants. Bay View Park KC Jones Playground is a five-minute walk away. The area is well-serviced by MUNI bus lines 8, 14, 24, 44, and 54.
