Permits have been filed for a new gymnasium for the Lycee Francais de San Francisco school at 735 Ashbury Street in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco. The location is between Waller Street and Frederick Street. The MUNI light rail station at Carle Street and Cole Street is approximately four blocks away.
The new facilities will yield 16,128 square feet within an 11,525 square-foot lot. The building will serve as a gymnasium for pre-k students, and a rooftop deck will offer additional play space for children attending the school.
The existing condition of 735 Ashbury street is a patch of pavement. The expanded school facility is an excellent sign to encourage families to live within the city limits. The growing school will raise the value of properties nearby, benefitting young children’s education and growth in the Ashbury area of San Francisco.
