Mercy Housing has filed for permits to construct affordable residential units on a 7.76 acres property on 4995 Stockton Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Sacramento. The project proposal consists of 200 residential units. If the tickets are approved, Mercy Housing could break ground in eighteen months. The plans show that the proposed project will have 21 residential buildings, a four-story building with commercial and office space on the ground floor, seven three-story buildings with twelve units, and thirteen triplex buildings.

The four-story building units are proposed to have one and two bedrooms with areas ranging from 561 to 792 square feet. The three-story buildings will range from 551 to 1,197 square feet, and on to three bedrooms. A shared outdoor seating and picnic area and two play areas for toddlers and children are also planned.

The site location is minutes away from UC Davis Med Center and the new Aggie Square development and is centrally located in the South Sacramento submarket.

The total estimated cost of the project is $80 million.
