Plans have been filed for a potential apartment complex at 2720 Northgate Boulevard in the Gardenland neighborhood of Sacramento. Preliminary details show the four-story complex would replace a vacant lot across from a public charter school and a restaurant. The vacant lot is owned by the adjacent Baptist church, Iglesia Bautista Northgate.
The 44-foot-tall structure is expected to yield around 39,040 square feet, including 32 apartments and ground-level garage parking. The facility will include an elevator, bicycle storage, and EV-capable parking spaces. Apartment sizes will vary, with four studios, 14 one-bedroom units, and 14 two-bedroom units.
Further details about the architecture have not yet been published. Previous plans have been submitted by the church to develop another nearby vacant lot, 2736 Northgate Boulevard, into a 42-car surface parking lot. Those plans were drafted by Loomis-based Streamline Engineering and Design Inc.
The 0.66-acre property is located along Northgate Boulevard between Wilson Avenue and Haggin Avenue. The property sits in the suburban, low-density neighborhood of Gardenland, next to the more tightly developed suburban sprawl of Northgate and Natomas.
Public records show the property last sold in May 2026 for $420,000. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have not yet been shared.
