Demolition is underway for structures located at 6501 Golden Gate Drive in Dublin, Alameda County. The project proposal includes the development of an affordable residential community consisting of two five-story buildings with retail space on the ground floor and onsite amenities.
Bridge Housing is the project developer. KTGY Architecture + Planning is managing the design concepts and construction. GLS Landscape is responsible for the landscape architecture onsite.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 3.59 acres. The proposed project will bring 300 affordable residential units to two five-story buildings. Construction will happen in two phases of 136 units and 164 units. The units will be offered as a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. The total built-up area is 228,420 square feet. Retail space will be designed on the ground floor.
The project will feature onsite amenities and landscaped open spaces. A parking garage with a capacity of 245 vehicles will be developed on the site. The facades will rise to a height of 61 feet.
The Planning Commission approved the Site Development Review Permit on August 10, 2021. The project requires Lot Line Adjustment, Community Benefit Agreement, and Affordable Housing Agreement.
The property site sits adjacent to the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station within the Downtown Dublin Specific Plan Transit-Oriented District.
