Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project at 7271 Luther Drive in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of a three-story apartment building for seniors.
Pecora Associates Architecture & Planning is managing the design concepts and construction.
Named Luther Garden Apartments, the project will bring residential units for seniors in a three-story building. The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 0.78 acres. The building will offer twenty-four dwelling units.
Units are roughly 1,000 square feet with a kitchen, dining room, living room, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a balcony or patio. Onsite amenities are inclusive of parking stalls for all apartments, rooftop gardens and solar power collect, central skylights, and bicycle racks.
The cost of construction is $500,000. The project is under review phase, and Sacramento City Planning Commission will schedule a meeting to review the designs and site plan.
The project site sits on an infill parcel in South Sacramento, across the street from a high school athletic field. The apartments will be located near four different bus lines on Florin Road and within a short walk of a Regional Transit station.
