Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a 100 percent affordable housing project proposed at 2206 Great Highway in Parkside, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the rehabilitation of public housing townhomes along with some exterior facade redevelopment.
Mission Housing Development Corporation is the property owner. Levy Design Partners is responsible for the design concepts and construction.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 15,900 square feet. The project proposes the rehabilitation of 16 public housing townhomes; 6 townhomes in South building and 10 townhomes in North building. The double-story structure will yield a total built-up area of 15,880 square feet. The residences will be offered as a mix of six two-bedroom units and ten three-bedroom units. The scope of the project also includes the installation of new windows and doors throughout. New roofing, exteriors finishes, equipment, fixtures, and appliances will also installed.
An estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. Construction cost is estimated at $5 million. The property site is located in a residential neighborhood offering view of Ocean beach.
