Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a mixed residential project proposed at 3521-3525 Sacramento Street in Presidio Heights, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the conversion of the mixed-use building on the site built in the 1880s.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 2,689 square feet. The project site currently houses a mixed-use building consisting of two residential condominiums and one commercial space. The building yields a total built-up area measuring 4,204 square feet. The proposed project includes the conversion of the mixed-use building into residential units.
The project is pending review and the estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. More information is anticipated on this project. Stay tuned to SFYIMBY for more updates.

What I don’t get is that I’ve read stories about how high commercial rents are– tens of thousands a month for small spaces– but here it’s desirable to convert to residential? Granted it’s very location dependent, but it still seems incredible.
