Building permits have been issued for a mixed-use residential project proposed at 55 Broadway in Jack London Sqaure, Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story building offering residential, retail, and parking spaces. The building once completed will replace a surface parking lot on the site.
CIM Group is the project developer.
The project will bring 136 residential units into an eight-story building offering 155 bedrooms. The building will yield a total floor area of 130, 129 square feet. The building will have spaces for retail uses and a lobby entrance. Parking for 16 vehicles will be developed on the site.
Named Site D, CIM Group has requested a two-year extension for the property. A regular design review and parking variance was approved in 2017. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The property site is located at the intersection of Embarcadero and Broadway.
