A new office and R&D project has been proposed for development at 888 Bransten Road in San Carlos. The project proposal includes the construction of a new three-story building offering spaces for R&D and office use. The project calls for the demolition of the three multi-tenant light industrial buildings on the site.
ARE-San Francisco is the project sponsor.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 2.26 acres. The new building will offer 105,416 square feet of space to be utilized for office and life science research and development uses.
Site improvements include public and private outdoor amenities, landscaping, sidewalks, and lighting along Bransten Road and Industrial Road. The majority of the required parking will be met with excess parking in the existing structured parking adjacent site at 825 – 845 Industrial Road located across Bransten Road via an executed Parking Agreement.
Onsite construction work is expected to span approximately 14 months. Building construction and finishing would fill the remaining approximately 12 months.
