Permits have been filed seeking the development of a residential project proposed at 718 Webster Street in downtown Oakland. The project proposal includes the renovation of an existing two-story office building, to provide space for live-work units.

Urban Impression is the project applicant. Pinebora LLC is the property owner.

The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 0.27 acres. The project proposes to convert the office space on the second floor into ten live-work units. The proposed residential space will measure 6,549 square feet. The information on what is planned for the first floor is yet to be revealed.

No renderings have been revealed yet. The project site sits on a busy street, surrounded by many offices, shops, and restaurants. Oakland Museum of California is located a short walk away, along with the Lake Merritt BART station.

  1. I wish they’d build a taller building there. Most of the storefronts along 8th St there are derelict.

      This building had a fire. Used to be bustling as a bakery on the corner, afterward a noodle shop.
