A new residential project has been proposed for development at 2555 College Avenue in Berkeley. Plans call for the demolition of an existing auto maintenance garage, parking area, and convenience store.

The project site is a parcel spanning 4,000 square feet.  The project will bring a new four-story building offering residential space for 11 units. The building will yield a total built-up area spanning 9,815 square feet. The residential units will also feature attached ADUs. The project will also provide 20 bicycle parking spaces: 16 covered long-term, and four short-term spaces on sidewalk-mounted bicycle racks. The building façade will rise to a height of 47 feet.

The site is located near public transportation, downtown services, and existing parking garages, and will provide housing near the University of California Berkeley campus. The project construction cost is estimated at $1,560,487. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
