A new residential project has been proposed for development at 2037 Kala Bagai Way in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the change of use of an office building to residential units, along with addition of a new floor in the building.

Okada Bros Inc is the property owner. Stromberg Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 20,670 square feet. The project proposes the change of use of the existing office building to residential units. The scope of work includes the conversion of floors second to fifth. A new top floor will also be added, increasing the building height to 75 feet.

A preliminary application has been submitted and the project is awaiting review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet. The project site is located one block from UC Berkeley, Downtown Arts District, and Downtown Berkeley BART Plaza. The location offers easy street parking and near numerous off-street lots and garages.
