Swank Construction has filed for new building permits for 2131 16th Street in Richmond Grove, Sacramento. The plans would replace the vacant parcel with 31 homes, nearly half of the number in prior plans. Granite Bay-based developer Ashria Holdings LLC is responsible for the application.
The application will yield around 32,300 square feet, including 5,040 square feet of commercial space. Of the 31 apartments, there will be 21 one-bedrooms and ten two-bedrooms. Parking will be included for 16 bicycles and 21 cars.
LCA Architects is responsible for the design. Illustrations show the three-story structure with a brick facade facing the corner of 16th and V Street and bare stucco walls facing Uptown Alley. MSLA is responsible for the landscape architecture, and Apex is the civil engineer.
The 0.44-acre parcel is located along 16th Street between V Street and Uptown Alley. Residents will be under ten minutes from the 16th Street Light Rail Station and the surrounding shops. The State Capitol Park is just over 15 minutes away on foot.
