Preliminary permits have been filed for a suburban project at 2009 West Leland Road in Pittsburg, Contra Costa County. The project is likely to bring new single-family housing to an open hillside. Concord-based West Coast Home Builders is listed as the project owner, operating through San Marco Properties LLC.
The new Planning/Major Subdivision filing aims to split the roughly 22-acre site spanning two parcels into 106 lots. The rezoning would help facilitate the construction of over a hundred new homes. According to reporting by Judith Brieve from last February, the developer is considering the construction of 206 single-family homes on the property. The Pittsburg City Council unanimously approved the rezoning of the lot, which had previously been zoned for higher-density housing.
The site is next to the city-owned Ray Giacomelli Park. At the corner of West Leland Road and San Marco Boulevard, San Marco Properties LLC is overseeing the construction of a small three-structure commercial hub.
West Coast Home Builders is an affiliate of Seeno Family real estate development firm. The approval process and timeline for groundbreaking have yet to be shared.
