New renderings have been published for a townhouse development at 2415 K Street in Midtown, Sacramento. The project will bring ten duplexes across the roughly quarter-acre property, adding twenty units. Sacramento-based Bardis & Miry Development is responsible for the application.

The complex will yield a combined 14,620 square feet across ten structures. Each of the two-story buildings will contain two full-floor apartments. Residences will feature two bedrooms, and the top unit will get private access to a rooftop deck.
Architects Local, a California-based firm with offices in Sacramento and San Diego, is responsible for the design. Illustrations show boxy structures decorated with a mix of materials to articulate the domestic buildings. Facade materials will include cement plaster, panel siding, and wood veneer. Landscaping will include a mix of yellow flowers, green bushes, and rosemary.
The project will create twenty units across 0.29 acres, achieving an overall residential density of approximately 69 units per acre. The project site is located along K Street between 24th Street and 25th Street, two blocks from the Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park. Residents will be close to a hub of small businesses in Midtown, coalescing around J Street.

I’d live there!
What a perfect infill housing project! It reminds me of the amazing bungalow courts that populate many older Sacramento neighborhoods. We need dozens, if not hundreds, of more projects like this. Build it now.
