Permits were filed for a new detached duplex and ADU at 959 Robin’s Nest Place in South Natomas, Sacramento. The total development, designed by RBCAS, will include a three-bedroom unattached single-family home with a garage, and a two-bedroom MMH unit with an attached two-bedroom ADU.

Both buildings will remain one-story, with an expected maximum roof height of 18 feet. The main dwelling will reach 2444 square feet, with the two-unit secondary building coming to a combined total of 1600 square feet.

The released renderings show a proposed grey stone and blue stucco siding with a grey shingle peaked roof with white paneled gables. Landscape design has made provision for at least two shade trees along the Thelma Avenue side of the property.

The current proposal is the latest for the site after a 2022 application expired without progress. However, the seven-bedroom and 3044-square-foot development has reimagined the property from the previous proposals, with increased density, access, and a detailed design.

  1. That’s actually Northgate/Gardenland because it’s a section of older houses.
