Preliminary plans have been filed for a dense infill project at 2344 Fulton Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. Initial details for the project would replace a small corner lot with 18 units. The Danville-based trust for David J. Meyers is listed as the property owner.

Dublin-based Collaborative Design Studio is listed as the property owner. Though details have not been shared, the plans describe adding 18 units to a lot spanning just 0.06 acres, which would equate to a density of 300 units per acre.

The property is located at the corner of Fulton Street and Channing Way, a block away from Shattuck Avenue. The site is two blocks from the UC Berkeley campus and less than ten minutes from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station on foot.

Demolition will be required for the existing over-century-old home. Public records show the property last sold this January for just $825,000. The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be established.

The project team has yet to reply to a request for comment as of the time of publication.
