The Donner Field Senior Apartments Project in Sacramento filed new and updated building permits for the planned project at 4501 9th Avenue. The new permits extend the project details beyond the existing permits reported on by SF YIMBY in January of this year. Mogavero Architects is still the project’s designer.

The main building’s layout is in a U-shape around a central courtyard, with a smaller community building unattached. The main building height is to rise from two to three stories.

The development, once completed, will consist of 67 units, 100% of which will be deed-restricted affordable housing. The building will be served by a variety of amenities, including green spaces, a bocce ball court, walking paths, a gathering room, a technology center, and a bike area. Below-ground parking for the facility is to be accessible by gated entryways at the north and south of the site.

The property is located along 45th Street between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue, near the Stockton Boulevard thoroughfare. Walkable retail options can be found along Broadway, and the neighborhood is home to several schools and other community services.
