Two Developments Planned on Roberts Avenue, San Jose

Two nearby properties at 1170 and 1190 Roberts Avenue in San Jose are slated for new development. Both properties, at approximately 1.1 acres each, are set to be divided into several new units. The property at 1170 Roberts Avenue will require the demolition of a single-family home previously damaged by fire. Pan-Cal Corporation is responsible for the application.

The two areas will each contain eight new units, bringing the total units to be constructed to 16 for the combined properties. Both areas are to be rezoned for the new project, allowing for the increased density. All 16 units are to be single-family residences.

Each property is to have a private garage and driveway providing on-site parking for the property. Vehicle access to the sites would be via a new private street with outlets onto Roberts Avenue. The property locations have good access to freeway and vehicle transportation routes, but relatively limited access to public transit. However, it does have walking access to nearby Kelley Park and Grand Century Shopping Mall.
