Preliminary permits have been filed again for a low-density residential development at 205 West Middle Avenue in Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County. The project looks to add a mix of townhomes and single-family housing to an undeveloped field on the outskirts of the city. The Shanghai-based developer Henghou Group is responsible for the application.
According to previous pre-applications from the developer, VER Consultants will be involved as the consultants, civil engineers, and architects. Once again, the pre-application aims to invoke Senate Bill 330 to streamline the approval process.
The subdivision will transform 18.2 acres with 100 dwelling units, including 45 single-family homes and 55 townhomes. The sprawling addition to the countryside is close to the suburban Glenrock Builders proposal for 248 units, including 71 apartments, split between 14465 Monterey Road and 360 West Middle Avenue.
The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be shared. The project applicant has yet to reply to a request for comment.
