New building permits have been filed for an assisted living facility at 245 Eleanor Avenue near Old North Sacramento, Sacramento. The project, named the Catalonia Palms Assisted Living Facility, will include 32 resident units, eight employee units, and associated amenities. The property owner is listed as a San Francisco-based individual.

D & Z Structural Engineering is listed as the architect and project engineer. The single-story facility will include two residential wings and a central amenity-oriented space. Illustrations show a fairly aesthetically vacant design, with gabled roofing and a porte-cochère over the main entrance.
The site will include an agricultural-focused garden in the backyard, including several dozen vegetable boxes, flower boxes, and grape trellises. The gardens will also include fountains and a landscaped koi pond.

The 2.3-acre property is located along Eleanor Avenue next to Johnston Park, close to Steelhead Creek. The site is a twenty-minute walk or three minute drive away from Del Paso Boulevard.
The estimated cost and timeline for construction have yet to be established.
