The five-story complex includes 79 one-bedroom apartments designed to support seniors living independently or as couples. Residents will benefit from a communal lounge furnished with a full kitchen connected to the landscaped courtyard. Additional amenities include a computer learning center, an exercise room, and bicycle storage. Of the 79 units, 20 will be set aside for residents transitioning from homelessness or managing chronic medical/behavioral health conditions. Parking will be included for 65 vehicles.
Van Meter Williams Pollack is responsible for the design. The podium-top courtyard features 63 resident garden plots and a noise barrier to reduce the impact of the adjacent highway. Massing will be stepped down a floor toward Timber Street to respond to the townhouses across the street.
