The City Council of Half Moon Bay has approved a lease agreement for the affordable housing project at 555 Kelly Avenue in downtown Half Moon Bay, San Mateo County. The town has entered into a 99-year lease agreement with project developer Mercy Housing for a five-story housing project for retired and senior farmworkers. The building will also include a new resource center for Ayudando Latinos A Soñar, a local community non-profit.
The Mill Valley City Council has reapproved plans for a four-story affordable housing complex at One Hamilton Drive in Mill Valley, Marin County. The project will replace a surface parking lot across from Hauke Park, a fire station, and a police department with 45 apartments, deed-restricted for low-income families. EAH Housing is the project developer.
Updated plans have been filed for a mixed-use development at 603 Jefferson Avenue and 750 Bradford Street in Redwood City, San Mateo County. The proposal is looking to add housing and offices to an entire block in the heart of the city’s core. The prolific Sobrato Organization is sponsoring the project on behalf of the property owner, the Redwood City School District.
Construction has started for a new affordable housing complex at 429 MacArthur Avenue in the unincorporated North Fair Oaks community in San Mateo County. The project is set to add 86 apartments close to the Fair Oaks Community Center and public library. San Diego-based developer Affirmed Housing is the project sponsor.
The San Jose City Council has approved a $73.7 million bond for the affordable housing infill at 1371 Kooser Road in the Cambrian neighborhood of San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project will soon replace a former Chuck E. Cheese location with nearly two hundred units of housing. San Diego-based Affirmed Housing is the project developer.
