Affordable Housing Conversion Planned for 1035 Van Ness in San Francisco

A proposed project in San Francisco would convert an existing 106-unit residential building at 1035 Van Ness Avenue into a 124-unit fully affordable building. The units will be classified as Affordable Permanent Supportive Housing, a model combining affordable housing with supportive services to help individuals with disabilities or special circumstances preventing them from finding long-term housing. The project is brought by the veteran-focused non-profit Swords to Plowshares.

Affordable Housing Inaugurated at 180 Jones Street, Tenderloin, San Francisco

A new 100% affordable housing project is now available for occupancy at 180 Jones Street in Tenderloin, San Francisco. The project proposal included the development of a new nine-story affordable housing complex. The City and Mayor London Breed celebrated the inauguration, and were joined by representatives from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Cahill Contractors is the contractor. Van Meter Williams Pollack LLP is responsible for the designs. TNDC is providing in-house property management and social services. Local firms Waypoint Consulting, California Housing Partnership, and Gubb & Barshay  are also enlisted on the project.
