The project team and partners recently celebrated the opening of Colibri Commons, an affordable housing complex at 965 Weeks Street in East Palo Alto, San Mateo County. The multi-structure complex has added 136 apartments, ranging in size from studios to four bedrooms, to the formerly vacant parcel. MidPen Housing and EPACANDO are jointly responsible for the development.
The Foster City Planning Commission will meet later this evening to discuss plans for the Gilead Campus Expansion Project located at 1155, 1165, and 1185 Chess Drive. The project would span a full twelve-acre property, involving the demolition of several existing properties. Gilead Sciences is self-sponsoring the project’s development.
Plans have been approved for a townhouse development at 2015 Pioneer Court in San Mateo, San Mateo County. The project, dubbed Pioneer Vista Townhomes, will add ten apartments along West 20th Avenue, just a block off El Camino Real. Jack Boyajian of STILL Property Group is responsible for the application.
Construction is now underway, with a recently approved $39 million contract to complete phase one of the residential redevelopment at the former Oddstad Elementary School site in Pacifica, San Mateo County. The property had been vacant for over two decades after the school’s closure. Crews are now expecting the first 45 units to finish next year, offering affordable housing dedicated to Pacifica School District workforce employees.
The City Council of Half Moon Bay has approved a lease agreement for the affordable housing project at 555 Kelly Avenue in downtown Half Moon Bay, San Mateo County. The town has entered into a 99-year lease agreement with project developer Mercy Housing for a five-story housing project for retired and senior farmworkers. The building will also include a new resource center for Ayudando Latinos A Soñar, a local community non-profit.
