Construction has topped out for San Mateo County Office Building 3, the newest county government building in Redwood City. The project has been designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill to be the nation’s first civic building made of mass timber and be net-zero energy. The building is expected to open next year.
Belmont City Council has officially approved plans for 800-803 Belmont Avenue. The project is expected to replace a low-slung hotel with 125 affordable housing units in San Mateo County. ROEM Corporation is responsible for the project as the applicant and property owner.
Plans for a new life science building at 210 Adrian Court in Millbrae is scheduled for review by the city’s planning commission on Monday, May 16th. A new rendering has been revealed for the six-story project, set to rise directly across from the nearby BART Station, end of the line in San Mateo County. Longfellow Real Estate Partners is responsible for the application.
New plans have been revealed for an eight-story apartment infill at 40 Airport Boulevard in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. If approved, the two-story industrial building will be replaced with 292 apartments and parking. Blake Griggs Properties is responsible for the development.
Progress is being made on Willow Village, a 59-acre mixed-use urban development proposed by Facebook’s owner, Meta, in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The Draft Environmental Impact Report was published last week, making an essential step towards approval, and the project team has announced new refinements based on community feedback. Signature Development Group is the project developer.
