Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a 850 Bush Street in Lower Nob Hill, San Francisco. The project proposal includes vertical and horizontal addition to the existing one-story plus mezzanine structure, previously occupied by a restaurant, resulting in a 7-story building.
Leavitt Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
The existing structure, a contributor to the Lower Nob Hill Apartment Hotel Historic District, is approximately 19 feet tall, while the height of the building with the vertical addition will be 65 feet to the finished roof. The 5-story 13,500 square-foot addition, will include 21 dwelling units, comprised of 7 one-bedroom units and 14 two-bedroom units, with 3 affordable units.
The ground floor will retain an approximately 1,900 square foot retail space. The project includes 21 Class 1 and 4 Class 2 bicycle parking spaces, with no accessory off-street parking.
Planning Commission has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, December 16, 2021, details of which can be found here.
The property site is located between Mason Street and Taylor Street.
