Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project proposed at 1256 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the conversion of an office building to provide residential units.
Sia Consulting is responsible for the designs.

The scope of work includes the conversion of a two-story office building into four residential units on the second floor. The residential units will be designed as a mix of one one-bedroom, one two-bedroom, and two three-bedroom floor plans. The building will contain a residential built-up area spanning 3,737 square feet. Retail/commercial space will span an area of 4,444 square feet. Usable open space spanning an area of 677 square feet will be developed as a part of the project. Four bicycle storage spaces are also proposed.
A project application has been submitted, pending review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.

looks like they’re doing what they can with having all bedrooms and living areas have at least access to a window with maybe some air although might be a bit strange. better than no housing. hopefully the rent is not insane for the layout and limited conversion from office space to living space. wonder where they’re going to be laying the plumbing for the bathrooms and sinks. might need some help with pumps if there is not enough space to let the water flow downhill.
