A new residential project has been proposed for development at 1614 Sixth Street in West Berkeley. The project proposal includes the construction of two new single-family residences.
King O’Kelly Architects is responsible for the designs.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 6,500 square feet. The scope of work includes the construction of two new single-family residences to the rear of a historic landmark, the Charles R. Brown House. The project site is currently developed with a three-bedroom one-bathroom single-family residence that was built-in 1884. The residence spans a total built-up area of 1,475 square feet. The residence was sold in 2023 for $1.1m.
A project application has been submitted, requesting review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been announced yet.
