A new preliminary application has been submitted for review proposing a conversion project at 4715 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland. The project proposal includes the conversion of a hotel building into affordable housing.
Danco Communities is listed as the project applicant.
The project site is a parcel spanning an area of 0.17 acres. The scope of work includes the conversion of a hotel, Maya, into affordable housing. The new affordable housing project will offer 24 units, out of which 23 will be available at affordable housing rates. There will be one manager’s unit in the building with renovated kitchen and laundry room. All units will be designed as studio floor plans. Onsite residential amenities include outdoor activities area for residents as well as a designated outdoor smoking area. Kitchens will be installed in all units with a range, sink and refrigerator for food storage and prep.
No renderings have been published yet. The project awaits review and approval. The estimated construction timeline has not been revealed yet.
