A meeting is scheduled this evening for a project located at 949 Moraga Road in Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The project, which was previously reported on by SF YIMBY in February, has revealed more detailed plans and renderings ahead of this evening’s meeting. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates have partnered with Sunflower Hill in bringing the project.
The proposed project would combine three vacant parcels with a small office building, totaling a 0.74-acre building site. Plans would build a four-story mixed-use residential building, providing 48 units of affordable housing to the area. The building designs are not expected to exceed 48 feet in height.

The building layout, designed by Ascend Architecture, includes an uneven U-shaped structure surrounding a garden and entry area. Residents will have access to the main body of the building, including housing units, amenities, and multipurpose facilities. The street front arm of the U-shape will be used as office space. Both parts of the building will be served by a private parking lot with access to Moraga Road.
