Plans have been filed for a small residential infill at 8 Orizaba Avenue in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood. The project will bring three dwelling units to a vacant lot overlooking the BART train tracks and Interstate 280. Millbrae-based Morrico Management is listed as the property owner.
The roughly 30-foot-tall structure is expected to produce two three-bedroom apartments above a ground-level two-bedroom accessory dwelling unit. Parking will be included for a vehicle and three bicycles. The proposal looks to feature an energy-efficient all-electric system.

Massoudi Consulting Engineers will draft the construction plans. Illustrations show a familiar vernacular design with upsettingly small windows along the front elevation’s bay window. Facade materials will include stucco and Hardie Plank siding.
The 0.06-acre property is a vacant lot on a steep, small cul-de-sac between De Long Street and the BART train tracks. The site is close to the border with Daly City in San Mateo County. Construction is estimated to cost around a quarter of a million dollars, a figure not inclusive of all development costs. The timeline for completion has not yet been shared.
