Updated renderings have been published alongside news of an estimated groundbreaking date for 360 5th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The 21-story tower is expected to add nearly 300 apartments and ground-floor parking to a vacant corner lot, cleared years ago for a residential project abandoned after 2020. DM Development and Thompson Builders are jointly responsible for the project, with construction currently expected to start next year.

New building permits have been filed for a 21-story residential tower at 360 5th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The application shows plans have slightly increased since preliminary permits were filed earlier this year, including an additional floor and 14 more units. Novato-based Thompson Builders is the project developer.

Increased Plans For 20-Story Tower at 360 5th Street, San Francisco

Preliminary permits have been filed for a 20-story apartment tower at 360 5th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The proposal could replace the foundation of an abandoned construction project that paused in early 2020 while more than doubling the potential height and residential capacity from the initial entitlements. Novato-based Thompson Builders is responsible for the application.

Updated permits have been filed for the now-foreclosed project at 342-360 5th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The parcel has been a stalled pit in the ground since LEAP Development excavated the site in 2019. Paul Thompson of Novato-based Thompson Builders is now responsible for the application.
