Permits have been filed to build a 7-story mixed-use structure at 419 4th Street in the Jack London Square neighborhood of Oakland. The address sits between Broadway and Franklin Street. The site is within walking distance of downtown Oakland and is six blocks away from the Oakland Jack London Square. While renderings have not been released, we can confirm that Lowney Architecture is responsible for the design.

The permit describes a 7-story, 69-unit mixed-use structure, 35 vehicular parking spaces, 62 bicycle storage spots, and ground-floor retail space. Its significant residential offerings will help meet the high demand for housing near downtown Oakland. The neighborhood has been evolving quickly over the decade, with this latest permit being just the latest for the waterfront district.

The property currently houses a single-story industrial structure. Demolition will be required. An estimated completion date is not yet known.
